A pony that was thrown from the boot of a car has recovered from his ordeal.

Tiny Tim was found lying on the side of a road by animal welfare officials in Wales.

The abandoned pet's feet had been tied together and he was suffering from malnutrition.

Sally Learoyd, animal rehoming officer, has been caring for Tiny Tim and states that despite his injuries the pony is recovering well from his experience.

"We did not think he would make it because he was in such a state. He was very very lame on two legs and very thin and dehydrated," she told the BBC.

"Within six months he was a different pony. We've all got very attached to him - he was tough and determined and he is quite happy and healthy to be a companion pony."

In other news, a pony rescued from an Essex swimming pool by fire fighters has made a full recovery.
