The Blue Cross is a UK registered animal charity. We dont receive any government funding, and are totally reliant on donations and fundraising events for our income. We are proud that 80% of all donations to The Blue Cross goes directly towards helping animals in need. Last year it cost us more than £17.7 million to provide our services - for example, it costs: - £15 to provide vaccinations that will protect a puppy against life threatening illness
- £18.83 a week to keep a dogs kennel warm
- £79.65 to provide the veterinary care needed by a cat
- £90 to pay for a course of vaccinations to protect a horse or ponys health
- £204.75 to care for a dog during its stay in one of our adoption centres
- £500 to provide hay and bedding for a horse for winter
