Peter met Molly purely by chance: "I was in a small group of dog walkers, and Molly was with someone else. I fed her a biscuit and when I eventually walked her, she was sensitive enough to pull the lead to its full length and then stop pulling. She was starting to impress me."

Peter had always wanted to adopt a dog, and sought advice from staff at Felixstowe on adopting a dog and the requirements for the Rottweiler breed. Peter was soon convinced and Molly found a new home.

"She was sick on the way home, but I was sympathetic was I'm the world's worst traveller when it comes or motion sickness!" Peter found he and Molly had much in common and also enlisted the help of an animal trainer to give him advice on training a Rottweiler.

Molly changed Peter's lifestyle for the better. "The car now spends more time in its garage so we are doing our bit to prevent global warming! There's also much pleasure to be had from walking with a dog through the lovely countryside in Suffolk."

In turn, Molly receives a great deal of attention and care from Peter, which he enjoys giving and believes is vital in keeping her contented and well adjusted. "Molly has proved to be an ideal dog for me; we are inseparable."
