Horse Care Groom, Northiam

Northiam Equine Centre cares for up to 30 horses at any one time.  These consist of retired horses and ponies, as well as a small number of young horses and ponies which will receive basic handling and ground work training to prepare them for transfer to one of The Blue Cross' two rehabilitation and re-homing centres.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated groom with good practical skills that can be applied to caring for a variety of horses and ponies within a sanctuary environment.  Ideally, you will be confident handling horses and ponies that are retired or resting at the centre.  You will be capable of working on your own initiative and as part of a team, and will be expected to deal with the general public and assist with fundraising events at the centre.
