Pets change our lives for the better every single day, and Blue Cross have been there changing theirs since 1897.

From finding pets loving new homes, providing emergency vet care to those in need, and even holding the hands of those struggling because of the loss of a pet, Blue Cross has been there for thousands in need each year and now we need your help!

We’re setting you an epic challenge to honour the legacy of the pets and people we’ve helped since 1897, while making sure we can be there to make an even bigger difference in the future.

What’s the 1897 Challenge all about?

In honour of our founding in 1897, we’re setting a simple yet epic challenge: game or stream for 1897 minutes between 1 March and 31 March and get sponsored to do it.

1897 minutes – sounds like a lot doesn’t it? But with almost a month to do it, that’s just over one hour each day. 

Whether it’s playing your favourite game offline, streaming and causing chaos with your community, or even taking things to the tabletop by hosting a board game night with friends. It’s never been easier to help pets, and unlock amazing rewards for yourself, so what are you waiting for? 

Ask your friends, family, colleagues, and community to sponsor you, and you’ll soon be making a big difference for pets and their people. They can even unlock some great rewards for themselves when they donate on Tiltify, that’s what we call a win-win!

How does it work?

Creating your fundraising page takes just a couple of minutes on Tiltify and once launched you’ll find loads of tools to help make your event a success. Not sure how to get started? Watch this video tutorial or follow the simple steps below.

Step one: Hit “Sign me up” and you’ll be taken to a log in screen for our partners at Tiltify, an easy, safe and secure site for fundraising. You’ll be asked to create an account or log in with your social accounts if that’s easier.

Step two: Complete the short registration form to create your fundraising page, it only takes a couple of minutes. You can choose to support one of our existing teams and help them to the top of our leader-board, set up milestones, and even offer rewards to your donor in a matter of minutes. It also means you can provide us with details on where to send any rewards you qualify for during your challenge too.

Step three: Decide if you’d like to pay the optional £20 entry fee to kick start your fundraising and secure yourself one of our fundraising packs! The packs are filled with goodies you can use to help with getting donations and that £20 could feed a dog for almost a month or provide a homeless pet with vital vaccinations. 

Step four: Hit create and publish your fundraiser and you’ll be good to go. If you need help publishing your fundraiser, just follow this easy tutorial.

Once your fundraiser has been set up, you’ll be on your way to earning real life rewards as a thank you for your incredible support. The more you raise, the more goodies you’ll unlock for us to send out to you once the challenge ends. You can see what’s up for grabs here.
