Guests will enjoy a champagne reception, luxury three course meal, live entertainment and have the chance to take part in an exclusive silent and live auction of memorable ‘money can’t buy’ experiences and prizes.

Penny Lancaster

These include a unique opportunity for one lucky winner to have a portrait with their pet taken by Penny Lancaster, the multi-talented photographer, model and TV presenter. A devoted pet owner - pictured here with her family's dog, Bubbles - Penny is delighted to support Blue Cross by donating this very special prize.

David Harper

The auctioneer will be David Harper, a known modernist artist as well as a BBC TV Art and Antiques presenter. David has a proven track record as a charity auctioneer known for entertaining and lively events. His painting, Sally the War Horse, pictured here, is being auctioned on the night. David’s instantly recognisable paintings have been exhibited and sold alongside work by artists such as Damien Hirst Ai Weiwei, Henry Moore & Sir Peter Blake. His studio is in Barnard Castle, Durham, and his work is in art collections and museums around the world.

We are delighted to be holding the first ever Blue Cross dinner in support of the Hertfordshire Rehoming Centre Appeal. This evening will be a wonderful curtain raiser for the £2 million appeal to make a large scale rebuilding of the busy rehoming centre possible. With your help, we can bring more people and pets together. Matt Cull, Deputy Director of Fundraising at Blue Cross

Molly the Hertfordshire dog

By buying a ticket you will be helping to save pets like Molly. When Molly arrived at the Hertfordshire rehoming centre she was terrifed of everyone, skinny and suffering from health issues. But thanks to the dedication of the team, Molly soon grew in health and confidence and went to a fantastic new home.

Our current facilities are extremely outdated after nearly 70 years and in desperate need of improvement to ensure we can provide the care and rehoming services the pets and the owners need.  The planned development will make sure we can look after them in the best way possible. Kellie Brooks, Manager at Blue Cross rehoming centre, Hertfordshire
