BLue Cross Week - Dog with Blue Cross

Blue Cross Week is coming, and everyone’s welcome. From 2 to 8 October 2017, we’re asking animal lovers across the country to take on sponsored challenges or host sales and events to raise money for sick, injured and homeless pets. The fun-filled week will close on Sunday 8 October with our Forest Fun Five Mile Adventure, a grand finale that the whole family – including dogs – can enjoy in the two beautiful woodland locations of Alice Holt, Hampshire and Sherwood Pines, Nottinghamshire.

Why take part in Blue Cross Week?

Every month, thousands of cats, dogs, horses and small pets turn to Blue Cross for help. We care for them when they’re sick or injured, and find them loving new homes if they’ve been given up or abandoned. We don’t receive any money from the government, so we couldn’t do any of this work without generous donations from the public. Pets count on us, and we count on our wonderful supporters to make sure our doors are always open. That’s why, this October, we’d love you to get involved in Blue Cross Week. We’ll be celebrating all kinds of animals and the difference they make to our lives by giving back to pets in need …

How will you get involved?

There’s something for everyone in Blue Cross Week. You could take on a sponsored challenge, hold a sale or event of your own, or you could join us at one of our Forest Fun Five Mile Adventures. Or why not do all three!

  1. Sponsored challenges

A great way to raise money and have fun is to get stuck into a sponsored challenge. You could create your own JustGiving page or use a good old-fashioned sponsorship form, it’s up to you.

  2. Sales and events

Think of all the lovely things you could make or bake and hold a sale. Or you could sell items you already own. Or why not organise a fun event and charge admission?

  3. Forest Fun Five Mile Adventure
