Join the race to end greyhound racing

With your support, we've reached our goal of 100,000 signatures. Now let's go further.

Thousands of racing greyhounds are still suffering.

From the day they’re born to the day they die, many live a miserable existence. Often transported in poor conditions at a young age, kept from socialising and forced to live in cramped kennels, all so that they can prepare for a race that, each time, exposes them to a risk of serious injury or death.

Since launching our petition to end greyhound racing last year, we’ve been racing towards our target of 100,000 signatures to help put a stop to this cruel sport for good. Thanks to supporters like you, we’ve now hit this important milestone. But our campaign does not end here, and we’ll still be taking steps to keep the pressure on politicians.

What happens next?

Now we’ve hit our target we’ll be taking our petition directly to the Government to show them just how many people want to end greyhound racing. We hope to do this later in 2024. You can keep an eye on your inbox and on our social channels for the latest news and updates.

Your support will help us move one step closer to making sure every greyhound has the chance to experience life away from the racetrack. The chance to enjoy playing fetch or cuddling up at home. The chance to simply live their life as a much-loved pet, just as they should be.

Until then, we need to keep the pressure on politicians. Help us go even further and continue to share the petition with friends and family.

Did you know..?

Since 2018, over 2,700 greyhounds have died or were put to sleep as a result of their involvement in greyhound racing.

Greyhound racing is still legal in only 10 countries worldwide. Four of those are UK nations.

Over 26,000 injuries were suffered by dogs in the UK greyhound racing industry between 2018 and 2023.

Greyhounds are so much more than just ‘bred to race’

They’re not a commodity, but a pet.
