Can you offer a homeless cat a loving home?

Leading pet charity, Blue Cross is calling out to animal lovers to find new loving homes for two lovely friendly cats, John and Petal who have been in foster care at South Staffordshire College since September 2013.

John was sadly found as a stray last July. He is a handsome black and white cat, aged approximately two-years-old. He is a lovely cat and found a new home very quickly but his owner became ill and could no longer look after him so he now needs to find a new owner.

Beautiful Petal, just 18-months-old and also came to Blue Cross as a stray. She is a lovely affectionate cat who would like all the attention for herself as the only pet in her new home.

Michelle Smith, Blue Cross Regional Fostering Manager said: “Both John and Petal have been with us for a while now and really need to find a home where they can settle and get all the love and attention they deserve. The staff and students at the college have done a fantastic job looking after both of these cats but they really do deserve to find homes of their own.”

Blue Cross is constantly finding new and innovative ways to help the ever increasing number of pets who become homeless or abandoned. The charity teamed up with South Staffordshire College in 2013 and homeless cats are cared for by students studying animal care courses at the college's Rodbaston campus.

David Riley, Animal Centre Manager at South Staffordshire College said: "Our new partnership is working incredibly well with Blue Cross and benefits both the cats who we help to find loving, new homes and the students who need to learn how to care for the needs of animals like domestic cats. I hope that this partnership will continue to grow and develop in the coming years."
