The TCS London Marathon is the largest annual one-day fundraising event on the planet and it’s now set to be even bigger with a chance for people to complete their marathon challenge locally through this virtual offering. Enabling charities like us to raise even more vital funds for our cause.

The 2024 Virtual TCS London Marathon
We’re inviting you to run the London Marathon your way, joining up to 50,000 runners up and down the UK – and across the planet. The 2024 Virtual TCS London Marathon will take place on Sunday 21 April and you will have 23 hours, 59 minutes and 59 seconds (12.00am to 11.59am) to complete the 26.2 miles, which you can choose to run, walk or jog – making the event even more inclusive.
A special tracking app for your smart phone will be provided to log your 26.2 miles, provide you with exclusive audio commentary and ultimately earn the coveted London Marathon finisher medal and New Balance finisher t-shirt.
Although you will be running in your local area, you will still receive support from us.
All Blue Cross runners will benefit from:

A chance to be creative
Taking part in The 2024 Virtual London Marathon, also means you can be creative with the challenge that lies ahead!
Ideas include:
- Being dropped 26.2 miles from home and running back to a hero’s welcome
- Completing each mile with a different running buddy, sharing the challenge with friends and family
- Getting together with a group of friends to walk the 26.2 miles together
- Creating a unique course that visits the homes of friends and family so they can set up outdoor drinks stations for a refuel and catch-up over an energy bar
Things to be aware of
- Entrants must be 18 or over on Sunday 21 April 2024
- All 26.2 miles must be completed on Sunday 21 April 2024
- The 2024 TCS London Marathon virtual event is not held on closed roads
- The 2024 Virtual TCS London Marathon app, powered by TCS, requires the participant to enable GPS to track their 26.2 miles
- Tracking information will be used to produce the individual certificate unique to the participant
- Runners are responsible for their own nutrition and hydration during the event
- All participants will be asked to upload proof of their time and official results will be published
