For 125 years, we’ve cared for pets and the people who love them – but we can’t continue to do it without you. The support we offer pets and people at Blue Cross has never been needed more, with an estimated 2.6 million pets now living in households in poverty.

Rising living costs mean many people in your area could soon find themselves struggling to feed their pets.

We have seen a 240% increase in requests for help since January 2022.

The cost-of-living crisis means that there is a real risk many more pets could go hungry, fall sick or be abandoned. But together, we can support pets and people through these tough times. Vet bills have risen at twice the rate of inflation, putting pet care out of reach for many.

The number of dogs we’ve rehomed has risen by 70% in the last year.

Your kind support could mean a homeless pet finds a loving new home.

You could make sure a sick or injured pet receives life-saving vet care.

You could ensure that a family struggling to make ends meet can still feed their pet, thanks to one of our pet food banks.

We opened the world’s first animal hospital in 1906 and since then our doors have never closed to sick and homeless pets. With your help, they never will. Today we run four animal hospitals and twelve rehoming centres across the UK, which provide treatment and seek happy homes for thousands of cats, dogs, small pets and horses every year.

We have a dedicated Pet Bereavement Support Service, a fantastic Education Team, a new Pet Food Bank initiative and many more life changing projects.
