Our Luton pet care clinic is based at Icknield Veterinary Hospital in Luton and provides low-cost vet care for pets whose owners couldn’t otherwise afford it.
We provide the same, high quality care your pet would receive at a Blue Cross animal hospital – only at your local vet.

Low cost, Blue Cross vet care is for pets, and pet owners, who are most in need. So to be eligible, you’ll need to receive one of the following means-tested benefits:
You’ll also need to register with the clinic and live within one of the following postcodes:
You can register one pet including cats, dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, gerbils and small birds such as budgies. Unfortunately you can’t register more than one even if you have more pets. This is because we want to help as many people and their pets as we can.
When you register, you’ll pay an annual registration fee of £22 for each pet. This will cover the cost of annual vaccinations*, a health check, microchipping and any treatment needed if your pet becomes sick or injured. There are also reduced-cost preventive treatments and affordable charges for out-of-hours services, so your pet always has access to the help it needs.
Because we’re a charity, and we rely on the generosity of supporters to keep going, we ask that you make a contribution towards your pet’s care every time you visit the clinic.
Out of hours emergencies – please note that as of Monday 11th March 2019, the location of the emergency provider Vets Now will change from the clinic site to Boness Veterinary Hospital, Barton-Le-Clay. Should you need to contact the out of hours service, you can do so by phoning the usual clinic number – 01582 727571.
*Primary and booster vaccinations only, kennel cough is not included.
