Joseph has over twenty years’ experience leading public interest organisations both as a chief executive/senior manager and as a trustee/non-executive director. Originally from Australia, since 2000 he has worked in North America, Europe, Asia and Africa as a manager, analyst and advocate to conceive and implement initiatives designed to solve some of the world’s most pressing problems.
He has had a particular focus on global education and helped to establish the Global Partnership for Education, Education Cannot Wait; the global fund for education in emergencies and the Global Book Alliance of which he is the chair.
Joseph joined in the Board in January 2020 and will be a member of the Audit Committee and the Service Delivery Committee.
He has a long-standing personal interest in and commitment to animal welfare and served on the international board of World Animal Protection. After a decade at Save the Children he recently joined The Brooke as their Head of Strategic Partnerships, External Affairs and Research.
He lives in London with his partner, teenage son and cat, Batman, who they rehomed almost ten years ago.
