Calling all pet owners! Nominations for Veterinary Nurse of the Year 2016 are now open.
The award, sponsored by Blue Cross, recognises the dedication and support that veterinary nurses offer pet owners through caring for pets and educating the public about responsible pet ownership.
Last year's winner was Laura Lacey, of Chester, who claimed the title after she was nominated for her tireless work educating pet owners and her commitment to animal welfare.
David Catlow, Blue Cross Director of Clinical Services said: “Blue Cross gives this annual award to recognise the hard work of vet nurses across the UK. We are looking for those vet nurses who really go that extra mile to improve the lives of pets."
This year‘s award will be presented at the British Veterinary Nursing Association (BVNA) Annual Congress which will take place from 7 to 9 October at Telford International Centre in Shropshire.
If you know a vet nurse who you believe has gone the extra mile for your pet or made a significant contribution to animal welfare, then nominate them now.
The deadline for nominations is Friday 9 September 2016.
