How to make a cat food puzzle
Make an activity feeder your cat will love using items destined for the recycling bin! This can be used to slow feed your cat their usual meal or to keep them entertained during the day.
What you’ll need:
- Four toilet roll inner tubes
- Cardboard
- Empty plastic containers – yoghurt and sauce pots work well
- Empty egg box
- Scissors or a Stanley knife
- Super glue – be extra careful that your cat doesn’t come into contact with the glue while it’s setting
How to make it
- Cut a piece of cardboard to about 40x40cm. This will form the base of your activity feeder. Place this to one side for later.
- Get one of the toilet roll inner tubes and cut this in half horizontally with your scissors or a Stanley knife – so that it now looks like two mini inner tubes
- With the other three inner tubes, pop them in a pyramid formation so that you have two at the bottom and one lying on them at the top - glue into place
- Remove the lid from your egg box and keep both pieces of it to one side
- Grab the base of your activity feeder and your super glue – it’s time to start sticking things in place
- Once they’re all stuck to the cardboard, leave to dry for around one hour before popping treats into the various bits that you’ve glued in place and let your cat enjoy!
