Brown and white cat eating a homemade pancake from a plate

Cat-friendly pancakes

Treat your cat with our three ingredient, no bake cat-friendly pancake recipe.

Whether you're getting your cat involved in Pancake Day, or you just want to give them something special, this simple, no bake pancake recipe is the perfect treat for your feline friend.

You will need

  • 1 tin of tuna in water with no salt added
  • 1/2 cup finely diced cooked chicken
  • 1/2 cup pure sweet potato puree – make sure this is just sweet potato and doesn’t contain any sweeteners

Note

Treats should be given occasionally and alongside a well-balanced diet. These treats aren’t suitable for cats with special dietary requirements.

How to make your cat-friendly pancakes

  1. Open the tin of tuna and drain
  2. Pop the tuna into a mixing bowl and break it down into small bits with a fork
  3. Add the diced chicken to the bowl and start to slowly stir in the sweet potato – you don’t want the mix to become too watery, so just mix it until it all binds together
  4. Scoop out the combined mix and shape into mini pancakes
  5. Call your cat (if they’re not already salivating at your side) and serve up!

Your cat's pancake can be kept in the fridge for up to two days after it’s been made.

Tip

This mixture can be frozen for up to three months – just pop it in the fridge to thaw when you're ready to feed your cat some more.
