About me

Meet Dax. He is an 11 month old, male Mastiff cross.

Dax is a big friendly giant once he has gotten to know you. He can be a little worried to start so he has been learning that the world is not such a bad place and how to respond more positively to new encounters. He is a big cuddly teddy bear underneath it all.

He is picking up training really well and has come on leaps and bounds since he has been here - quite literally. He is a playful soul who needs robust owners who will be able to keep up with him and continue his training.

Ideally owners will have experience in handling very large breed dogs and will have used positive training methods previously.

Dax can live with older children / teenagers who will be able to help manage his size and wont mind sharing the sofa with him once he comes up for a nap. Warning he does snore. Due to his training needs he needs to be the only pet in the home.

If you are interested in Dax, please complete an online home finder form.

How rehoming works

  1. Browse our pets, find your favourite

Read the pet’s profile to make sure that they are suitable for your circumstances.

  2. Complete the online application form

We want to be fair to everyone who applies for a pet so applications are dealt with in the order that we receive them.

  3. We process your application

Please be patient while we process your application. If you are successful we will contact you to go through next steps.

Thanks for reading my story…

I'd like to say I have a lot to give to my new owner and that I think I deserve a warm and loving home. Can you help me out? I think Blue Cross would be much appreciative!
