They called him Ernie, and he didn’t drive the fastest milk cart in the west as he is a Greyhound and can’t drive! BUT, he is 5 years old, handsome and looking for a retirement home.
He loves to play with toys, especially toys that move! As he has a high chase drive, he isn’t suitable to live with cats or small animals, however he could live with a dog if they get along at the centre.
He is looking for a home where he can learn how to be a pet, with understanding owners who can help him to adjust to his newly retired life. Ernie loves to go for walks where he can sniff in the long grass and learn about the world, but he can be a bit worried of new things (although he is getting braver day by day) so will need owners who are willing to take things at his pace.
Being a typical Greyhound, he does love a burn off in a paddock where he can run to his hearts content. His recall is still a work in progress, but he loves food which helps!
