I'm a 6-year-old Chihuahua (Smooth Coat) from South Wales: Newport rehoming and advice unit and I'm looking for my forever home.

Um hello there, my name is Keith and to be honest I'm a little bit afraid of the world.
I am very cute I must admit, but I will need a lot of patience from my new owners. I have a lot of difficulty meeting new people and I really really can't cope with men so if I could have a man-free home to live in I would feel most content. Children are also very overwhelming for my little self so please no children in my new home or small visitors.
At the moment I am having introductions with new humans very gradually, and am progressing well but this is something that will need to be continually worked on in my new home. As soon as I've sniffed you out and taken things at my own pace, I am happy to sit on your lap for a bit of fuss.
Unfortunately I do have bad paws that bother me from time to time, but these are being treated with a special scrub so hopefully I won't have any problems with them in my new home. I do have a funny back leg too that can be a bit of a nuisance but I am told by the humans here at the centre that this is just a structural issue - it definitely doesn't stop me from exploring in the garden!
I really enjoy playing with my cuddly toy in my home room and love eating small meaty treats, though I'm not really a fan of gravy bones if I'm being particular.
Because I find the world and other dogs very scary, I don't really need to go out that much -I would rather cuddle up on the sofa with you!
If you think you may have the time and patience for a special boy like me, then please fill in a homefinder form - I'm sure I will like you eventually!
