About me

Hi my name is Kestrel, I am a very sweet and loving mare looking for a very special home where I can continue to blossom.

I have been in Blue Cross a long time as when I first arrived I was very scared of human touch and it has taken a long time for the team to gain my trust. However I have recently turned a corner and now come to call as I know my own name and I always get a positive reward from my groom!

I like to be led down to the yard where I come into a stable for a tasty haynet. I am good to have my feet done and have even seen the farrier without sedation which was a big step for me. I have also been in the trailer and wasn't scared at all as I had my groom with me.

I can still need reassurance at times so I am looking for a home where I can build a bond with one person and continue to grow in confidence.

If you are interested in rehoming Kestrel or any other Blue Cross horse/pony, then please click on the *Rehome Me* link. The Blue Cross holds up to 100 horses and ponies at any one time. Even if Kestrel is not available please be assured we are still actively trying to find you a suitable match for your needs and we will be in contact as soon as we do.

How rehoming works

  1. Browse our pets, find your favourite

Read the pet’s profile to make sure that they are suitable for your circumstances.

  2. Change the online application form

We want to be fair to everyone who applies for a pet so applications are dealt with in the order that we receive them.

  3. We process your application

Please be patient while we process your application. If you are successful we will contact you to go through next steps.

Thanks for reading my story…

I'd like to say I have a lot to give to my new owner and that I think I deserve a warm and loving home. Can you help me out? I think Blue Cross would be much appreciative!
