Hello, my name is Prince. And I am 9 years young! Aren’t I a beautiful boy!? You may not be able to see from my pictures but I am a rather big chap, however, I’m a gentle giant at heart. I can be sensitive and worried initially but once I know you I gain confidence and start to relax.
I love gentle fuss (chin rubs are my favourite!) and being in the company of people that I know, I can become rather worried and sensitive in situations that are unfamiliar to me so sometimes I just need a bit of time and patience.
When I am happy and relaxed with you I will roll around on my shelf enjoying the interaction (I will also start to dribble uncontrollably!). Food and tasty treats are a good way to gain my attention and trust; however, I have to be careful not to put on any weight as I have been a bit overweight in the past so I shouldn’t have too many treats! I also really like cat nip toys; cat nip really helps to bring out my inner kitten and my playful side. Playing with toys helps me to forget how shy I can be and helps me to build a bond with new people.
My ideal new home would be somewhere a bit quieter where I can continue to come out of my shell and build a bond with a new owner. I am happy to meet older children here at the centre to see if we could be friends but am looking for a home with no cats or dogs please. I am used to outside access and loved to explore in the garden so I would really appreciate a new home where I can go outside again.
Thank you for considering me. If am not quite right for you, please look at other Blue Cross animals on the website who also need a new family.
