About me

Hi, my name's Sid and for some reason people keep overlooking me in favour of younger felines. I'd like to take this opportunity to explain to you just how much a mature gentleman has to offer (although I'm only middle-aged +VAT as far as I'm concerned).

For a start, I do love a chat. My life experience has taught me to appreciate the art of good conversation. If you were to take me home we'd never be short of something to talk about, especially when it's time for dinner!

I'm a sensitive chap and I confess I was very scared when I first came to Blue Cross. In fact I hid away from everyone. I'm now staying in a foster home which has helped me come out of my shell and show my personality. I like a comfy bed (or several) and I do enjoy lots of fuss, but I'm not a lap cat. I'd rather enjoy the quiet company of my favourite humans than be kissed and cuddled, and I'm hoping you're the sort of person who can relate to that.

You see, a more mature gentleman like me knows his own mind. Every so often I might surprise you by unleashing my inner kitten and chasing after a ping pong ball, or by bringing you a special "gift" from the garden. But grand gestures aren't everything - I think it's much more important to just enjoy being in each other's company. That's what I've learned in life, and that's why I think a sensitive, mature cat has the edge over a crazy kitten.

All I need is a chance to enjoy my senior years in a home of my own, with someone I can love and trust. If this special someone could be you, please fill in a home finder for me. Thank you.

Love Sid xxx

Help Sid to find a happy home with the gift of pet sponsorship!

Does your loved one have room in their heart, but not in their home, for a pet of their own? Blue Cross sponsorship is the perfect present for animal lovers.

Sponsor a pet as a gift for your loved one from as little as 70p a week, and they will receive monthly updates from real homeless pets in our care who are just waiting to meet their new families. Your chosen friend or family member will also receive a downloadable certificate from each of the dogs, cats, small pets and horses they’ve helped to find loving new homes.
