About me

This little chap is Tolly who is looking for a special home to call his own.

Tolly may be tiny (don't let all that hair fool you!) but he has a lot of considerations for a new owner to make sure he flourishes there. Like lots of rescue Chihuahuas he is very nervous of new people and will come forward to show this. He has made friends at the centre successfully but it takes a number of days to get to a place where he is comfortable just to take treats.

Once he has made a bond with you however he is your loving companion for life! He is a proper little lap dog who loves being brushed and having cuddles. He also enjoys walks - he cant have to many has he does have a heart condition, but enjoys 15 minutes twice daily and lots of running around in our garden.

We are looking for ideally a single owner who doesn't have many visitors so that we can work on building a strong bond with that new owner, this will involve multiple visits to the centre in a short space of time and potentially us bringing Tolly to your home for settling in visits - so you will need to be relatively local to Newport.

We know this sounds like a bit of work but if given the best chance to settle you will see a very funny, playful and loving little dog in Tolly.

Read the pet’s profile to make sure that they are suitable for your circumstances.

  2. Complete the online application form

We want to be fair to everyone who applies for a pet so applications are dealt with in the order that we receive them.

Please be patient while we process your application. If you are successful we will contact you to go through next steps.

Thanks for reading my story…

I'd like to say I have a lot to give to my new owner and that I think I deserve a warm and loving home. Can you help me out? I think Blue Cross would be much appreciative!
