Vote for your favourite veterinary nurse 2022
Blue Cross has begun their annual search for the UK‘s 'Veterinary Nurse of the year' and is calling on pet owners and veterinary practices to help.
The charity’s award recognises the dedication of the country’s vet nurses and their invaluable support to their veterinary teams, the nation’s pets and pet owners. The award is given to a vet nurse who not only cares for sick and injured pets but also goes the extra mile to encourage responsible pet ownership and improve pet welfare in their community.
You can nominate your Vet Nurse of the Year using the form below.
Closing date Wednesday 31 August
The Award Ceremony
The award will be presented at the British Veterinary Nurse Association (BVNA) Congress. This year it will be a hybrid event with live speakers at the event in Telford and remote delegates so no-one misses out.
Last year's winner
Last year, the Award went to Chloe Mackintosh who is a veterinary nurse at RSPCA in Harmsworth, North London and was nominated for her passion and commitment to animal welfare.
Chloe said: “I was shocked to find out I had been nominated, and absolutely taken aback to find out in the same phone call I had won! It’s such an honour to win something of this stature as the Blue Cross is a charity I admire immensely. My passion and niche is charity work and I really mean it when I say this has made my year.”
