York pet care clinic

Location Details

Our York pet care clinic is based at ST Stead Vets in York and provides low-cost vet care for pets whose owners couldn’t otherwise afford it.

We provide the same, high quality care your pet would receive at a Blue Cross animal hospital – only at your local vet.

Please note that the clinic has a monthly limit on registration numbers and will close to new registrations once that monthly limit has been reached. Registrations are open between 9.00am and 5.00pm Monday to Friday.

If the clinic does not appear in the dropdown, they are now full for this month and are not accepting registrations. Please check back for any updates.

  • council tax reduction (not 25 per cent single person discount)

How many pets can I register?

You can register one pet including cats, dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, gerbils and small birds such as budgies. Unfortunately you can’t register more than one even if you have more pets. This is because we want to help as many people and their pets as we can.

What will it cost?

When you register, you’ll pay an annual registration fee of £55 for each pet. This will cover the cost of annual vaccinations*, a health check, microchipping and any treatment needed if your pet becomes sick or injured. There are also reduced-cost preventive treatments and affordable charges for out-of-hours services, so your pet always has access to the help it needs.

Because we’re a charity, and we rely on the generosity of supporters to keep going, we ask that you make a contribution towards your pet’s care every time you visit the clinic.

*Primary and booster vaccinations only, kennel cough is not included.
