Summer Fete, Dog Show and Craft Fair

Saturday 1st September, 12-4pm

The Blue Cross rehoming centre in Catshill is inviting you to come along to its Annual Fete which is to be held at the centre on Wildmoor Lane on Saturday 1st September.

The event starts at 12pm and runs all afternoon until 4pm with just £1 admission for adults and free for children.

24 years of dog show fun

The show, which is in its 24th year, promises all the favourites such as; birds of prey, go karts, archery, drumming and circus skills workshops, children’s rides and games, a rock climbing wall and much, much more, as well as the popular craft marquee with some 30 stalls. Our food fair stalls, which were a new attraction for last year, are back by popular demand selling a wide range of exciting things to tantalise your taste buds including savoury pastries, bread, homemade dips, Caribbean preserves and sauces, fudge, crêpes, local cider and more.

The infamous fun dog show will also be returning with its nine classes including:

Best Child Handler (under 14 years)
Best Veteran Dog (Over 7 year)
Best Six Legs
Dog Most Like its Owner
Happiest Rescue Dog
Dog with the Waggiest Tail
Dog with the Saddest Eyes
Judges Favourite
The Norma Simpson Bromsgrove Messenger Memorial Shield for Best In Show.

(Dog show entry is just 50p per class. Rosettes and prizes for 1st -6th place. Judging starts at the earlier time of 1pm this year).

Blue Cross Dog Parade

Plus don’t miss out on our Grand Parade of re-homed Blue Cross Dogs which is to be held in the main show ring at 12.50pm, so if you have rehomed a dog from us in the past come along and say hello – goodie bags for all participants.
