Her kittens have flown the nest – now Hetty needs a home

Placed in a cardboard box with her two kittens and dumped on a doorstep, Hetty has had a pretty tough time of late.

When the young cat was found on the doorstep of a veterinary surgery in Middlesbrough, she was very underweight and clearly suffering from a flea allergy.

We brought Hetty and her kittens into Blue Cross foster care so the family would be safe and warm.

The 18-month-old mum was a brilliant and caring mum and now her kittens are weaned and extremely fit and healthy, they have gone off to their new homes.

Hetty, however, is still waiting for a new family to take her home.

Blue Cross Foster Carer Helen Moore said: “We would love her to find a home where she can relax and have some time to herself and to enjoy being the centre of attention.”

Despite what she must have been through, Hetty is very affectionate and loves to give affectionate head butts and enjoys weaving herself around the legs of everyone she meets.
