Oxfordshire: Lewknor rehoming centre

Location Details

We opened in 2005 after moving from our Chalfont St Peter cattery site and have facilities for 24 dogs and 40 cats.

Our Rehoming Team is dedicated to finding the right pet for you. If you are interested in a pet on our website please complete a rehoming form in the first instance, you can find this on the pet’s profile page. So we can understand the type of pet you are looking for please do call us first if you would like to arrange a visit.

To see which pets are available on our website please scroll down to choose a species or visit our rehome a pet page. You can see pets available at all our locations or narrow your search more locally.  Our pages are updated regularly so please keep visiting them.

Home Direct Scheme

Our Home Direct Scheme is for dogs, cats, rabbits and other small pets whose owners can sadly no longer keep them but don’t need to find them a new home straight away. Pets stay in their existing home until a new owner is found for them. All pets go through our careful assessment and matching process.

Short-term volunteer foster caring

Become a volunteer short term foster carer for pets at Blue Cross and help improve the welfare of the animals in our care. As a volunteer foster carer you will look after needy animals in your own home while they are recuperating from operations or illness, or young kittens or puppies until they are able to find a permanent new home. If you live within 45 minutes of the centre and are interested in this rewarding volunteer role, please email [email protected]
