Behaviour and Training Service

Our Behaviour and Training Service

The relationship with your pet should be positive and enjoyable but sometimes it can be difficult, and the problems you experience can be stressful for you both. Our team of understanding, dedicated animal behaviour and training experts can offer practical help and advice to get things back on track.

Meeting you and your dog may be the best way to understand their behaviour. Come to our Burford rehoming centre in Oxfordshire and allow us to demonstrate and coach you through reward-based training techniques with our one-to-one support. All our sessions are tailored to you and your dog and include a follow up summary.

Our in person sessions are only available for dogs.

Most behaviour problems can be worked through with one of our experts from the comfort of your home by video call. All you will need is a device which allows you to make video calls using Microsoft Teams and access to WiFi.

If you can't get to our Burford rehoming centre, a video call is a fantastic way for us to demonstrate our reward-based techniques to help your pet.

Our experienced team will talk through the problems you are experiencing over the phone using our skills to best understand your pet's behaviour, and help get you on the right track for trying to resolve the problems you are experiencing.

These calls are perfect for those who aren't able to come to our Burford rehoming centre, or don't have the technology for a video call.

Owners who have used our service told us

I was really worried about being judged or being told that I hadn’t done something right, but it just wasn’t like that at all – it was really informal and just like having a conversation with a friend.” Anouska, Clive the collie’s owner

The advice we received meant that we went from having a cat that looked like he was going to leave home, to a cat who is in control of the relationship with the new puppy.”  Mandy, Tango the cat’s owner
