"Our Mum We are proud to share this tribute to our mum, a truly beautiful soul who dedicated her life to kindness, compassion, and a deep love for animals, especially dogs. Mum brought up my sister Jayne and me (Wendy) on her own, working incredibly hard to give us a loving, secure home. Despite the challenges, she always made space in our lives for a rescue dog, teaching us from an early age the value of compassion and care for animals in need. Over the years, we shared our family home with two lovely dogs, giving them the safety, warmth and love they so deserved. Her devotion to their wellbeing left a lasting impression on us both. It’s because of her that Jayne and I have continued the tradition, welcoming rescue dogs into our own homes and hearts. Even in her passing, Mum’s generosity shone through. She made a heartfelt donation to this charity, one of the ways she wanted to continue supporting the dogs she cared so deeply about. Her gift reflects the person she was: someone who always put others first, quietly helping those who needed it most. Mum worked well into her seventies, never seeking praise and had only a short retirement before she passed away suddenly. Though her time was cut short, her legacy lives on: in every dog she rescued, every life she touched, and now, through this donation that will help give more dogs the second chances they deserve. We miss her dearly, but we take comfort in knowing that her love for animals continues to make a difference. We were extremely blessed to have such a wonderful mum. She was a true friend to dogs, and to everyone lucky enough to know her." Wendy & Jayne
