Remembering Elizabeth Snelson

"Elizabeth was born in Totnes Devon and had a distinguished career in the nursing profession. General training in Bristol, London and then took up posts in various locations in England, finally settling in Oxford at the John Radcliffe hospital. Kidlington was to become her home enjoying long walks with her three girls (daschunds) Hattie, Sophie and Phoebe. Who enjoyed two or three walks a day, dependent on Liz’s schedule which could include a swim in the morning, tennis and then off to the theatre time permitting…. Liz led a full, well travelled life. she was loyal, compassionate, caring and a very giving person to charities, homeless people and anyone she could help! Liz’s ‘Girls’ will sadly miss her as will all of her friends and compatriots she met a long the way. Thank you  so much for rehoming all of the dogs together, may they bring as much joy and love to their new owners as they shared with Liz and her friends. Please take care of my girls. Kindest regards Lesley Brown." More than half the work Blue Cross do is made possible through gifts in Wills. Gifts in Wills from people like Elizabeth provide vital funds to help Blue Cross care for sick, injured and homeless pets. This page is to offer our heartfelt thanks for Elizabeth's generosity and care for animals.
