Pets and people are depending on our support this Christmas. The ongoing cost of living crisis is a major concern; numerous pets could face hunger, illness, or even the risk of abandonment this festive season.
At Blue Cross, we are dedicated to helping as many pets and people as we can, but the escalating costs are putting a strain on our services too. That's why we're in need of people like you. Together, we can ensure that pets receive what they deserve this Christmas – happiness, health, and food.
Costs are rising, and we're stretched to the limit...
In 2023, the cost for Blue Cross to rescue and rehome a dog is up to 37% higher than in 2021.
In 2023, the cost to Blue Cross for providing vaccinations for dogs has more than doubled since 2021.
In the first half of this year, we’ve seen 55% more pets given up due to financial reasons, than during the same period in 2022.
