Peter Carpmael MBE obituary

It is with great sadness we announce that on the 10 January 2018, Peter Carpmael passed away at the age of 97.

Peter began his Blue Cross journey as Assistant Secretary then moving on to the role of Joint Secretary. From 1947 to 1985 he was our Secretary before becoming a member of the Board of Governors and then a Member of the charity up to his passing.

During his time at Blue Cross he contributed to a publication highlighting our charity's amazing story during two World Wars called the Blue Cross at War.

A keen animal lover, he was an inspiring leader to all at Blue Cross, as well as a regular supporter of our social and fundraising events.

Peter will be truly missed by everyone at Blue Cross who had the pleasure of knowing and working with him.
