Cherry, Peaches, Apricot and Apple look out of their playhouse

Unwanted puppies found loving homes

A litter of puppies have been found happy new homes thanks to Blue Cross.

Peaches, Apple, Apricot, Cherry, Plum and Mango were the result of an unplanned litter and came into the care of our Bromsgrove rehoming centre at eight weeks old.

It wasn’t long before the cockerpoo and French bulldog crosses were found families, and our team made sure they were given lots of socialisation training while they waited to start their new lives.

This included exploring the dedicated outdoor puppy pen at the centre, which has tunnels and a playhouse for them to explore, and dog-friendly plants to sniff.

The puppies were given plenty of socialisation training during their time at the centre.

Andrea Embling, Operational Supervisor at Bromsgrove, said: “The puppies weren’t with us long as they, quite understandably, were found homes very quickly. But during their time here we made sure we gave them as much socialisation training as possible and exposed them to as many different sounds and situations as we could. This included meeting other dogs and even horses.

“We have found them homes where we know they will continue to thrive. But puppies are a huge commitment so we urge people to also consider rehoming an adult dog from a charity such as Blue Cross as there are many benefits. We have lots of pets, young and old, still waiting for homes.”
