Meet our Trustees: Niki Brooks-Coppard

As a Chief People Officer (Human Resources in traditional terms!), Niki's career has spanned multiple industries including retail, healthcare, charity, food and beverage and building merchants, with brands such as Lloyds pharmacy, Selfridges, Marie Curie, Costa Coffee and Huws Gray Group.

The Blue Cross Trustee role combines her professional knowledge and experience with her passion for the welfare and care of animals.

Having grown up with a variety of pets including cats, dogs, rabbits and goldfish (and the odd rescue hedgehog!), she spent many of her Easter holidays tending orphaned lambs at her family's farm in Scotland. She has increasingly combined her immense love of travelling with her equally passionate attachment to animals and has visited many countries to watch, photograph and generally learn about the lives, plights and conservation of wildlife across the globe.

At home, Niki and her husband Will, love to take their two rescue dogs (accident prone, 100mph couch potato Saluki, Ziggy, and oafish, velcro but very pretty Hungarian Vizsla, Lexi) for country walks with their many doggy friends.  

Niki joined the Trustee Board in January 2020, chairs the Remuneration Committee and the Finance and Support Committee as well as sits on the Service Delivery Committee.
