What you’ll need

  • Shallow bowl
  • Balloon
  • Water
  • Scissors

How to make an ice balloon treat

Here’s a simple way to make a cold treat for your cat to stay hydrated and cool in the summer.

  1. Use a tap to fill a balloon with water
  2. Tie a knot in the balloon
  3. Put the balloon in the freezer
  4. Leave for two hours
  5. Remove the balloon from the freezer and place in a shallow bowl
  6. Pierce the balloon with scissors and peel off

You can now give this to your cat to enjoy!

Tuna ice lolly

This is a handy ice treat recipe for cats who need a little more encouragement when trying new things.

What you’ll need

  • A can of tuna in spring water
  • Jug
  • Water
  • Ice lolly moulds

How to make a tuna ice lolly

  1. Open your can of tuna. You can also substitute this with low-salt chicken stock if you haven't got any.
  2. Dilute the tuna spring water in a jug with some cold water
  3. Pour the contents into ice lolly moulds and freeze
  4. Give the lolly to your cat in a bowl or hold it for them. They'll love it!
