Stray kitten's happy ending
For a kitten who’s had such a sad start, it’s remarkable that Bunnie is such a loving and trusting girl.
The black and white cat was found straying in Luton, Bedfordshire, when she was only 13 weeks old, desperate for love, warmth and food.
“She’s the most loving, affectionate and confident kitten,” says Naomi Gosheron-Parr, Adoptions Coordinator, who has been fostering Bunnie since she arrived at our Hertfordshire rehoming centre in December last year.
She continues: “She loves making bread [kneading], watching TV and is obsessed with human food. She even loves my dog, and I’ve found her sleeping on him.”
Given that Bunnie is so reliant on human company and sticks to people “like glue”, it’s likely that she was taken away from her mum too soon.
“She suckles on people’s clothing, which is quite a common behaviour to see in kittens who have been taken away from their mum when they were too young,” says Naomi.
Bunnie was soon in a new home where she lives alongside an 18-year-old Chihuahua.
