Every year on 14 February, people across the UK express their love for their special ‘valentine’ with a card, a gift or a display of affection. Usually, our valentines are partners, spouses or even a secret crush, but what about our furry friends who shower us with love all year round?

To say thank you to our pets for their unconditional adoration, and for supporting us through an incredibly tough year, we are inviting pet owners across the UK to channel their inner Shakespeare by writing a love letter or poem to their beloved pet pals.

Whether you are hop-lessly in love with your bunny rabbit, totally smitten with your kitten, or devoted to your doggo, sending a love letter to your pet is easy.

To send your paw-fect valentine a heartfelt message, just post a love letter to them on social media, tag @the_blue_cross and include the #YoursFurever hashtag.
