Walk, skip, or dance your way across 100k this June, and you can make a real difference to some of the UK’s most vulnerable pets – and people too – right when they need it most.

What is Steps for Pets all about?

Steps for Pets is our walking challenge to raise money for sick, injured and homeless pets and the people who love them.  

We’re setting the challenge to walk 100km between 1 June and 30 June 2026. That’s 4,700 steps a day to help feed 100 pets!

You can track your amazing progress across the month through your Tiltify fundraising page. And why not join our Facebook group to share your experience, get tips and cheer on other challengers?

When you complete the challenge, you’ll get a certificate to celebrate your amazing achievement alongside a custom Blue Cross prize sent to you in the post.

Why take on the challenge?

Get involved, and you’ll be helping pets and people just when they need you most. The cost of living crisis is affecting almost everyone, and more and more people are struggling to afford to vet fees or even pet food. We’re here for them and any pet that needs us.

Here at Blue Cross, we’re running pet food banks to help make sure no pet has to go hungry and to keep them where they belong – with their loving families. Join the fun and you’ll help us feed 100 hungry pets across the country, find loving families for homeless pets, provide affordable vet care, and much more.

Set up your fundraising page and goals on Tiltify to get started. There's an optional registration fee of £20, setting off your fundraising page to a paw-some start and we’ll send you a Steps for Pets t-shirt for you to complete your 100k in as a thank you.   1. This promotion is open to all UK residents and international participants aged 18 or over who have launched a Tiltify fundraising campaign and signed up via the Steps for Pets event. Those under the age of 18 can participate with consent from a parent or guardian. Please note for participants outside of the UK there may be a longer wait to receive prizes and some countries may include a tariff upon receiving the prize.  
  2. This promotion will run from 27 April 2026 until 30 June 2026
  3. To receive a Steps for Pets t-shirt, participants must complete the optional registration fee of £20 via their Tiltify account. Please note all registration orders must be complete by 20 May 2026 to guarantee you get a t-shirt in time for the beginning of the event. Any registrations made after that date will receive t-shirts midway through or possibly after the event.
  4. To receive one of our additional rewards packages after the promotion has ended, you must have signed up via the Steps for Pets event on Tiltify and have created and published a fundraising campaign while the promotion was active. The total on the amount raised on your Tiltify fundraising page at 11.59am (GMT) on 30 June 2026 (excluding gift aid and offline donations as outlined in (6) below) will be used to determine which rewards package you qualify for. The thresholds for each package provided by Blue Cross are as follows:
    (a) £96 and above – Bronze pin badge 
    (b) £143 and above – Silver pin badge 
    (c) £205 and above – Gold pin badge 
    (d) £500 and above – Gold pin badge and Blue Cross water bottle
  5. The amounts raised in (4), (5) and (6) excludes Gift Aid and any offline donations except those which have been sent following the terms listed in (8)
  6. For any offline donations to be counted towards your total, you must contact [email protected] and instructions and reference details will be provided so these donations can be paid in and linked to your fundraiser. Funds paid in via the Blue Cross website or any other means cannot be linked to your fundraiser and will not be counted towards your fundraising total for the purpose of the rewards packages outlined in (4), (5) and (6).
  7. Final rewards packages listed in (3) are made to order once the promotion comes to an end. This allows the charity to order exact quantities of each item and ensure as much of the money raised can go to supporting the cause. This means that there will be a four to seven week wait after the promotion finishes until rewards will arrive with Blue Cross, ready to be sent to those who qualified for them as outlined in (3). We will endeavour to send all rewards as soon as possible once they arrive with us, this is provisionally expected to be by August 2026 but may run into September if delays occur. Participants who qualify for rewards will be contacted via email with updates about shipping and expected arrival dates and any delays once the event ends.  
  8. If you are under 18 and wish to participate in the promotion you must ensure you have a parent, guardian or legally responsible adult consent for you to do so before you sign up. This can be done by confirming your acceptance of these terms and conditions via the sign up form on Tiltify. If parents and guardians would like to ask any questions they can contact [email protected].
  9. Illustrations of rewards can be viewed on our Tiltify page. Please be aware these images of rewards used in advertising are artist renditions and prototypes of products and final products may vary from what is shown.
  10. All rewards are non-exchangeable and no cash alternatives shall be offered. However, Blue Cross reserves the right to replace any of the prizes with an alternative of equal or higher value at Blue Cross’s discretion.
  11. Blue Cross accepts no responsibility for rewards being lost, damaged or delayed in the post
  12. By accepting these terms and conditions when signing up to this promotion you have accepted these terms in full. Blue Cross reserves the right to refuse rewards to anyone in breach of these terms and conditions.
  13. Insofar as is permitted by law, Blue Cross will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate, or accept any liability for, any damage or injury occurred as a result of completing your Steps for Pets event, except where it is caused by the negligence of Blue Cross. Your statutory rights are not affected.
  14. Blue Cross respects your privacy and will keep your information safe and secure and will only use it in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We will not sell, rent or share your personal data with other organisations for their marketing purposes.   15. Blue Cross may contact you for marketing purposes by post pursuant to our legitimate charitable interests, or by email if we have your permission to do so. The Blue Cross Steps for Pets promotion, these terms and conditions, and any dispute or claim between the parties arising out of or in connection with it or its subject matter or formation (including non-contractual disputes or claims) shall be governed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
  17. Blue Cross reserves the right to make changes to these terms and conditions from time to time
