Pip Dodd is a curator at the National Army Museum in London. He was part of the team that created the museum’s exhibition War Horse: Fact & Fiction, which explores the Michael Morpugo novel alongside the real-life stories of war horses and the men who depended on them.

 

Ruth Turner is the granddaughter of George Turner, who worked as a driver in the British army, caring for horses during the First World War. George risked his life to help an injured horse on the battlefields of France.
