Bitesize ways to volunteer
Short on time but want to help? There are a few ways you can volunteer more flexibly, or from home.
Volunteers have a huge impact on Blue Cross, no matter how much time they're able to give. If you'd like to support us but have limited time, or just need a bit more flexibility, we have a range of roles available.
If there's nothing available near you, keep checking back on the website for the latest roles.
Fundraising event assistants
We host a range of events throughout the year, from ramble and rummage days to Christmas fayres. Volunteers support the smooth running of our events and can help us with marshalling or car parking attendance.
Meanwhile, for our challenge events you can support our fantastic attendees by being a part of our cheer teams. If you're enthusiastic and enjoy the buzz of live events, you can play a huge role in cheering on our fundraisers, setting up banners and representing Blue Cross.
Crafters
Our crafters use their fantastic skills to knit, sew or crochet pet toys or blankets. These lovingly made items can then be sold in our charity shops, or given to animals in our care.
For horses
If you're social media savvy and are passionate about horses, you can help us to raise awareness on our educational resources and success stories, and shine a spotlight on horses looking for a new home.
Other flexible roles
Gaming and streaming
Interested in the world of gaming and streaming? Our virtual events are a new, innovative way of raising funds. You can play a key part in helping to grow our events by:
- reaching out to creators to build relationships with new communities on Twitch, TikTok and YouTube
- growing our community on Discord
And much more!
Leaflet distributors
Spreading the word about our events, campaigns and activities is essential. By joining our leaflet distributor team, you'll raise awareness of our services in your local area and help us reach more supporters.
