Rehome a pet
We find homes for unwanted cats, dogs, small pets and horses across the UK. Find out more about our rehoming process and why you should adopt a pet from Blue Cross.
We have changed our presence in Devon by closing our rehoming centre in Torbay and setting up a rehoming, advice and behaviour unit in Exeter.
Our Rehoming Team is dedicated to finding the right pet for you. If you are interested in a pet on our website please complete a rehoming form first. You can find this on the pet’s profile page. So we can understand the type of pet you are looking for please call us first if you would like to arrange a visit.
Our Home Direct Scheme is for dogs, cats, rabbits and other small pets whose owners can sadly no longer keep them but don’t need to find them a new home straight away. Pets stay in their existing home until a new owner is found for them. All pets go through our careful assessment and matching process.
Become a volunteer short term foster carer for pets at Blue Cross and help improve the welfare of the animals in our care. As a volunteer foster carer you will look after needy animals in your own home while they are recuperating from operations or illness, or young kittens or puppies until they are able to find a permanent new home.
Join the Devon: Torbay rehoming centre online community and become part of our ever-growing network of pet owners and Blue Cross supporters.
