How to fundraise sustainably
We’d like to invite you to fundraise with us in the most sustainable way possible, so we can protect our planet for pets and people alike.
Recycling made easy
Place some clearly labelled bins around your event so people know exactly what can (and can’t) be recycled. The simpler you make it, the more people will join in!
Go plastic-free
Skip the single-use plastics like straws, bottles, and balloons. Swap them for fun, eco-friendly alternatives, that are not only better for the planet, but also safer for pets.
Go paper-free
We recommend using digital invitations, handouts and tickets instead of printed ones. Digital invitations are quick, easy and produce no paper waste.
Make it reusable
Make your signage generic so it can be used time and time again for future events.
Food and drink
If you’re providing food and drink at your event, we recommend including vegan/vegetarian options. This won’t just support the climate crisis but will also make sure anyone with a meat-free diet feels welcome. You might also consider using free range and/or fairtrade products whenever possible.
Reduce waste
Think about your order quantities to keep food wastage to a minimum. Make a plan for any leftover food, and donate any spare food to a food bank or shelter (don’t forget, leftover pet food can go to one of our pet food banks).
Source locally
Where possible, source your products close to home. It cuts down transport miles and supports your local community at the same time.
Transport
Encourage your guests to car-share, cycle, or hop on public transport. It’s greener, cheaper, and more fun when you travel together!
Donations
Go digital with donations using QR codes or contactless devices. It’s quicker, easier, and has less environmental impact than cash.
