Get help with the costs of pet care

When money is tight, pet care becomes more of a challenge.

Nobody should have to face the heartache of giving up their beloved pet just because they can’t afford to keep them.

Blue Cross offers support with vet care and pet food. We don’t just help dogs and cats. We help creatures great and small – from hamsters to horses. Here, we’ve collected all sources of help on one page.

Keep pets and people together

More people are coming to Blue Cross because they’re struggling with the costs of pet care. That's why we intend to expand our vet services. But we can't do it without your support.

Help from other pet charities

Here are several other charities that help pet owners on a low income:

  • Cats Protection – helps with the costs of neutering your cat
  • Dogs Trust – helps with the costs of vet care if you’re homeless
  • PDSA – runs animal hospitals providing low-cost vet care if you're on benefits
  • RSPCA – offers low-cost vet care if you live in a catchment area
