How to apply
Thank you for your interest in working for our charity. We welcome applications from everyone and will do our best to make any reasonable adjustments for applicants who need this.
If you would like to apply for a job at Blue Cross, please follow the process below. This will detail each stage of your application.

Check our job vacancies
Take a look at our current vacancies and find out more about a specific job. You can do this by clicking on the 'Read More' button at the bottom of the job summary. This will show you:
- a full job description
- salary
- closing date
- the 'Apply Now' button
We regularly update this page, so if there isn’t a role that you are interested in at the moment, please check back soon.

Found a job you like?
Great – you’ve found a role you’re interested in! Be sure to take a look at the full job description and take note of the closing date.
Once you've viewed the job role in more detail and are ready to apply, click the ‘Apply Now’ button at the bottom of the advert.
Register
After you've clicked the 'Apply Now' button, you will need to register yourself as a user.
Registering will allow you to:
- save your application to come back to later
- check on the status of your application
- apply for other roles at our charity

What to put in your application
Once you are registered you will just need to follow the on-screen instructions.
We will ask you:
- for personal details such as your name, email address, a contact number and some details about your diversity (this part is optional)
- to upload your CV
- to answer some application questions related to the role you are applying for
We're looking for some real life examples of how you meet the criteria that is given in the person specification. So, be sure to give lots of information on this within your supporting statement.
It's also a good idea to highlight your skills from previous jobs that match the role you are applying for. Don't forget that this can include voluntary work too!
Note
Unfortunately, we do not accept direct applications via email for any of our vacancies. Applications are only accepted online via our website.
Submit your application
As soon as you are happy with your application, you can click the 'Submit' button displayed at the bottom of the application screen.
Once you have submitted your application you will not be able to make any amendments.
You can view the status of your application at any time by logging into your account.

What happens next?
We will let you know the outcome of your application within two weeks of the closing date.
On occasion, we get an overwhelming response to our vacancies, so the shortlisting process can take a little longer. Please bear with us and we will let you know as soon as we can.
Unsuccessful applicants
If you have not been successful this time around, we will let you know by email.
Unfortunately, due to the high number of applications we receive, we are unable to provide feedback to unsuccessful applicants.
Successful applicants
If you are successful, a member of our team will be in touch by phone or email to let you know and to offer you an interview date.
In some cases, we may ask you to more than one interview.
After your interview(s), you will be informed on whether you have been successful or not.
