Thanks for clicking on my profile. I have now been matched with a loving family and I’m looking forward to settling in at my new home. However, many of my friends still need adopting.

About me

Basil is a cheeky chap full of character and cuddles. His favourite place to be is on your lap and he's not shy about asking for a chest scratch, which he loves.

When he's not snoozing on the sofa, Basil enjoys a good walk where he can sniff almost every blade of grass, check out the local lampposts and explore new areas. He has a special toy that he likes to carry but occasionally feels like a game of tug or chase with it too...he'll let you know when!

Basil would make a great companion for someone who is looking for company at home and likes to get out and about a couple of times a day. He is certainly used to his home comforts and is brilliant at hiding under blankets. He is underconfident around other dogs and would prefer not to say hello, but has been able to briefly meet a couple of calm confident dogs here at the centre.

Basil is finding the rehoming process tiring as a slightly older gent who had been in the same home since he was a puppy - he'll need some time to rest and settle in to his new home before his happy, funny little character starts to shine though.
