About me
Derek is a lovable little chap with a big personality and an even bigger heart. He loves meeting and greeting everyone he comes across and is happiest when he's surrounded by his people. However, he can struggle with handling when this is not on his terms, and may growl if he is overwhelmed.
This handsome boy is a real foodie and will happily show off his tricks in exchange for a tasty treat! He's intelligent, eager to please, and always ready for a snack.
Derek absolutely loves playing fetch with his toys and would thrive with an active family who enjoy getting out and about on adventures. Whether it's exploring new places, going for walks, or enjoying playtime together, Derek will be your loyal companion every step of the way.
After a fun-filled day, Derek is more than happy to curl up beside you on the sofa for a well-earned snooze.
Derek could potentially live with a calm, confident dog following the correct introductions and a careful settling-in period.
He is looking for a loving new home where he can be part of the family and enjoy plenty of attention, affection and quality time together. Derek can struggle with more formal handling if he is overwhelmed, and needs a patient and calm approach and an awareness of his body language.
