About me

Mr Socks is a big-hearted, playful boy with plenty of personality to match his size. He earned his name thanks to his adorable white “socks,” and we suspect there may be a bit of Border Collie in his mix—especially when you see how he plays and engages.

He’s a real toy enthusiast and loves nothing more than a good game!

Mr Socks will happily drop his ball at your feet and wait (sometimes rather noisily!) for you to throw it again. His excitement and enthusiasm make playtime with him both fun and full of character. When he’s not fetching, you’ll often find him rolling around with his favourite toy like the big, goofy lad he is. Despite his size, he can walk well on the lead but does at times find things exciting and become stronger on lead.

Mr Socks came to us as a stray, so we don’t have a full history of how he behaves in a home environment. However, we believe he could be left for short periods, with any alone time gradually built up by his new owners to help him settle in confidently.

He is friendly with many of the people he meets and could live with older children who are confident and comfortable around large, strong breeds. His size and enthusiasm mean he would suit a home that understands big dogs.

At this time, Mr Socks is looking for a pet-free home. While he has shown some positive interactions with other dogs, he can become strong and excitable when he sees them, so he’ll need continued training and guidance in this area.

Mr Socks would thrive in an active home that can provide:

• Plenty of playtime and enrichment

• Ongoing training and structure

• Owners comfortable handling a large, strong dog

• A patient approach to building up time left alone
