Hello, I'm Waffles
I'm a 1-year-old Crossbreed - Large from Suffolk rehoming centre and I'm looking for my forever home. Please read my profile below to find out more.
I’ve been reserved
Thanks for clicking on my profile. I have now been matched with a loving family and I’m looking forward to settling in at my new home. However, many of my friends still need adopting.
About me
Waffles came to us as a stray, so unfortunately we don’t know anything about his past experiences. What we do know, however, is that he is a big softie with a heart full of love to give. This lovable large crossbreed has an even bigger personality—and absolutely no awareness of his size!
Waffles is all about affection and companionship, and he’ll happily climb onto the sofa to snuggle up with you, leaning in and flopping across you for cuddles. If you’re looking for a dog who truly loves being close to his people, Waffles is your boy. He is also currently working on gaining a bit of weight and is doing well as he settles into a regular routine.
Waffles is a real social butterfly who thrives on human interaction. He loves meeting new people and is always eager to say hello on his walks, greeting everyone he meets with warmth and enthusiasm. He’s friendly, affectionate, and has a wonderfully happy nature that makes him a joy to be around. In his excitement, he can jump up to greet people, so this is something his new family will need to help him continue to work on.
Play is serious business for Waffles! He absolutely loves games of fetch and tug, and will happily keep you entertained. Squeaky toys are a favourite—although they don’t tend to last very long thanks to his enthusiastic play style!
Once he’s settled into his routine, Waffles walks nicely on the lead. He can occasionally become a bit strong, especially when he’s excited, but this is easily manageable with guidance and consistency. He’s keen to please and enjoys being active with his handler.
Waffles settles beautifully in indoor environments and enjoys relaxing after a good walk or play session. He’s been a dream at the vets, showing a calm and cooperative nature in new situations.
Waffles would suit a home where he can get plenty of attention, affection, and playtime. Due to his size (even if he doesn’t realise it!), he would benefit from owners who are comfortable handling a larger dog and can continue his lead training.
He could live with older children who are experienced with big, boisterous breeds, as his friendly nature and tendency to jump up when greeting may be a bit much for younger children.
Waffles is bursting with love and would make a fantastic companion for someone looking for a playful, affectionate, and sociable dog. If you’re ready for cuddles, fun, and a whole lot of personality—Waffles is waiting to meet you!
