Scrap Car Comparison

We are so pleased to have been chosen as Scrap Car Comparison's charity of the month for April 2021, who are supporting us through their ‘Donate a Car’ scheme. 

We caught up with them to find out a little bit more about why they chose to support Blue Cross and how they will be raising money. 

Why did Scrap Car Comparison decide to support the Blue Cross?

We are delighted to be working with Blue Cross. We feel it is such a wonderful charity, not only do they rescue, rehome and look after sick, injured and abandoned pets, but they also provide education around pets and their welfare, ensuring pets have a happy home. With an increase of people getting pets during lockdown, it’s so important that pets are healthy, happy and cared for.

The majority of the Scrap Car Comparison team have pets who we adore, so this is a charity we wholeheartedly support and we cannot wait to raise awareness, offer our support and fundraise for such a fantastic charity. 

Tell us a little bit more about your ‘Donate a Car’ scheme

There are a variety of reasons you may consider scrapping your car, whether you’re downsizing to reduce carbon emissions, your car is damaged or broken, or you heard about our ‘Donate a Car’ scheme and want to donate money to charity. We make the process hassle-free, we collect your vehicle free of charge and donate the proceeds of your sale to a charity of your choice!

At the end of our calls we ask our customers if they would like to donate to our ‘Charity of the Month’. Here they can choose to donate as much or little as they would like. They can also choose to donate to any of our partnered charities, listed on our website. People can also choose to donate their whole car to any of our partnered charities at any time – this is such a great and unusual way to raise money! 

How has Scrap Car Comparison benefited from the partnership?

The team here learns so much about what all these wonderful charities do and build great, long-lasting relationships with them. We want to educate our staff and customers about the work of charities like Blue Cross and raise awareness of the crucial work they do.

What would you say to a business who is thinking of supporting the Blue Cross?

Please do it! They provide vital care and support for so many pets, and are passionate about educating both children and adults on animal welfare which is so important! We are so proud to be working with Blue Cross and we look forward to our partnership.
